The End of Swedish House Mafia
Unfortunately, all good things must come to an end. The Swedish House Madia, comprised of Steve Angello, Sebastian Ingrosso, and Axwell, have come to the epic conclusion of their journey, embracing the tag 'We Came, we raved, we loved.' All hype floating aroung the internet has yet to lead to a definite justification as to the reasons of their conclusion, although rumors have stipulated personal problems within the trio, health complications, and (most likely) each member, who all have very successful solo careers, wish to continue their journeys separately.
In a recent interview with Rolling Stone Magazine, Steve Angello drew parallels to The Beatles and their recent work together. "I think the Beatles made something that's kind of melancholic to sad and happy combined, and that's just amazing," Ingrosso said, while noting smiliarities between the two groups' chord progressions. "I kind of analyze music a lot, and I think that what the Beatles have done is what we do today. [It] doesn't matter that we do dance music."
The trio will continue to tour as scheduled, and are including one last North American tour for which the details will be revealed in August. With this last slate of shows, SHM will be indulging their legions of fans worldwide, while closing out their legacy and continuing into the EDM world as true pioneers of the sport.
