Lauren Lane Drops 'Lazer Eyes' on Seth Troxler's Visionquest Label
Los Angeles born and New York based; blossoming and beautiful talent Lauren Lane just dropped us her newest track, "Lazer Eyes" which appears as the first cut on Visionquest's (which is Seth Troxler's imprint) new sampler Teen Collection Hot Jam 96, and it's got some of us salivating like Pavlov's Dog. Maybe it's because of an affinity for 80's driven synths and nu-disco, but Lauren Lane is breathing new life into one of our favorite genres, and she's doing it with a ferverous energy .
"Lazer Eyes" is the result of a collaboration with the inimitable Jaws of French electronic trio dOP and it combines playful, funky percussion over a powerful bassline producing a dancefloor ready hit. Within the first week of its release, Teen Collection Hot Jam 96 sprouted up to thetop-20 on Beatport's Deep House charts with "Lazer Eyes" leading the way. Check it out.
Lauren Lane was also recently featured in One Beat's mini-documentary YouTube series titled You Should Know Me By Now. She gives an insightful point of view on electronic music, talking about starting in New York opening for her idols Seth Troxler, Danny Tenaglia and Lee Burridge, her upcoming projects with Visionquest and her recent move from NY to LA. Stream the interview below.
